Back from work (on night duty yesterday) but I can't sleep. Yeah, it really sucks. Because I drank coffee at 3 am. Those who know me will be aware that coffee really has an effect on me. Usually I drink coffee at around 12 midnight but as yesterday night was kinda busy and I was so blur during my first night (didn't have enough sleep and still new to the ward). That's what makes me functioning less. Really hate that kinda me. I expect 99% if not 100% from work and want only the best. Hopefully tonight I won't be so blur...
Last night was really full of funny incidents. There's a patient who can't sleep even after sedation given to her (yes, she was given a sleeping pill) and she went "kacau-ing" the other patients -.-"'
It got so bad that the other patients keep complaining to me. One of them is pregnant and she really needs rest even to the extent that she wants to transfer to a double-bedded room. The staffnurse-in-charge thus decided to move the old sleepless and hyperactive granny to the counter. But at the counter she's still the same and refuses to sleep. Keeps saying want to have dinner at home. It was 4 am in the morning -.-"'
Then came the endless call bells. There's this particular patient who keeps pressing the call bell and asking for a bath at 2.30 am. I told her time and again that 7 am we will bring her to take bath but she just don't understand and keep calling us. Old people...Sigh!
Hope tonight won't be that bad and I will be more alert and functioning again. LOL! I really need some sleep now to work tonight...Nitez...
